If you need a good laugh… tell your kids that the oven woke up the monsters in the cookies!
We love making these little guys because the girls can help without really messing up the taste. Plus, it’s really easy to sneak in some healthy ingredients.
Here is our favorite recipe for Monster Cookies:
Monster Cookies
Easy Halloween themed treat!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup almond butter we have a slight peanut sensitivity in our house
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all purpose flour we like Gary's True Grit Einkorn flour, or King Arthur off the shelves
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup M&M's
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- Candy monster eyes for the tops of cookies
Instructions
- Cream all butters, sugars, and wet ingredients.
- Mix in dry ingredients.
- Press monster eyes into the tops of cookies.
- bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 mins. We love to bake on stoneware for a crispy outside and soft inside!
